For my first example, My teacher I am working with sat all of her students down on the rug. She brought out props and a really cute detailed book. She started with the props and refreshed the class on how to read and remember what it is you are reading with the props. For example, she had really big ears and put them on, she then proceeded to tell the class how they need to listen to what they are reading and really try to understand it. She then, when through her book and named off all of the core sounds that are found in almost every word. The sounds had cute little pictures on them that represented the sound that the letters mad when you put them together. For example, there was the letter EW together and the letters had a picture of a kid grossed out in them. So the kids had something to associate the letters too.  One other example from my teacher, is that she works with the kids in individual reading groups specialized for the kids. 1. The cooperative teacher I am working with lets the students make comments when they want about what they are doing as a class. She allows them to feel a sense of community and love in the classroom. She allows it so that the kids feel as though they matter and that they have a community of kids they can grow with.  2. There are clear routines that the teacher I am working with sets up for the kids, she has a scheduled time of when they learn about and do different things. For the time I come in to help in the classroom she has them working on the computers with activities to help them with reading and writing. Also, during that time she does reading centers for each level of readers.  3. The teacher I am working with gives positive reinforcement to the kids when they are doing the right things or we they complete a task. She makes sure their skills don't go unnoticed in the classroom. She is really good at making them feel really proud of themselves.

The teacher I am observing uses the behaviorism the most in her classroom. She has a system of routines in her classroom. They have a certain time of when the students focus on one subject. It is very evident that she sticks to her routine she has set up for her students. I could tell that the students really respected her and listened to what she said. All of her student were engaged and observant about what was going on in the classroom. She very rarely gave negative feedback to the kids. The feedback she gave was always positive and rewarding to students who were doing what she instructed. She listened carefully to what the students had to say and always paused throughout the lesson for the students to stay engaged and keep their attention.
